Ribbon Cutting for 30th Anniversary of Tender Life Maternity Home

Join us for a Ribbon Cutting at 3:00pm Wednesday, September 30, at Tender Life Maternity Home. Call or come to the office at 819 E Thompson Blvd, Ventura, and we will guide you to Tender Life. Along with the Ribbon Cutting, enjoy the Open House. Meet Karen Johnson, the program manager, and tour the century-old treasure where Project Understanding welcomes moms and babies.

For 30 years, Tender Life Maternity Home has provided an oasis for homeless pregnant women. Tender Life offers housing and supportive services that promote self-sufficiency. Women can find a safe place from the beginning of their pregnancy as well as receive training and guidance for up to 3 months after the birth of their baby. Tender Life’s program includes training in parenting, child development, and life skills where “courage meets compassion to build new lives.”

The house badly needs repainting, and Project Understands needs your support to take of this haven for pregnant women. We welcome donations at the Ribbon Cutting/Open House. You are welcome to support Tender Life at the Bingo Bash, 6:00pm, Friday, October 23, at the Elks Lodge, 2126 Knoll Dr, Ventura.
