Food and Funds Drive

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed to Project Understanding’s Food and Funds Drive, December 7-14. Sid Anderson, owner of Riviera Bronze, and Larry Ehrhardt, owner of AWS Automotive (photo in his lobby), are coordinating this West Side Ventura initiative.

Anderson and Ehrhardt have recruited a line-up of great businesses up and down Ventura Avenue and along Main Street. Stop in at any of the following businesses this week. Bring along a donation of cash or nonperishable food! Riviera Bronze will collect the food on Monday, December 15.

We don’t want any of our neighbors to go hungry! When someone loses their job, you can help keep their family housed by keeping food on the table. When medical bills devour someone’s budget, you can provide hope and help through Project’s Food Pantry. Helping each other changes our community, changes families, and changes you too!

If you know someone who needs food, send them to our First Step Center, 819 E Thompson Blvd (at the corner of Ash). The First Step Center is open 9-Noon, Monday-Friday.
